Portsmouth is a cozy city located on the Southeast coast of England with easy access to Spain and France, and London is only an hour’s drive away from our campus. Portsmouth is a historic city, and is a significant waterfront leisure destination in Europe.

There are about 25,000 students studying a wide range of courses at the University and approximately 20 percent are international students from 130 countries. The Times Higher World University Rankings places the University in the top 2% in the world, and The Guardian currently ranks it in the top 21 in the UK.

There are several popular subjects areas ranked in the top 10 and the top 20 in the UK that are offered by the University, such as Design, Biosciences, Architecture, Electronic Engineering, Sport Science, International Relations, Criminology, Fashion, Pharmacology, Environmental Science and Mathematics. Partial scholarships are also available for Vietnamese students.

Over 97% of graduates are already in jobs or further studies, as the University delivers a whole range of practical programmes that are industry accredited and/or have industry placements attached to the course. The majority of our undergraduate courses incorporate an optional work placement year.  Our MBA, MA Business and Management, MSc Data Analytics and a few other Technology courses include short placement opportunities.

The University of Portsmouth is ranked No.1 in the UK by The Economist for boosting graduate salaries. Our graduates earn about GBP3000 (13%) more than expected after 5 years on the job. Many of our courses and departments provide practical/industry-related experience within the courses to improve graduate employability.

Some of the state-of-the-art facilities include our library, the Technology Centre that houses our rapid prototyping and 3D printing facilities, the Zeiss Global Centre, Healthcare/Extreme Environments/ Crime Scene Simulation Centres, our Mass Spectrometry and Laser Ablation/SAP Next Generation laboratories.

Students at Portsmouth also get to enjoy a choice of over 150 clubs and societies, including the VietSoc, and affordable travel opportunities to various English and European attractions, during their studies with us. Students will be supported by a personal tutor during their entire course, and have the opportunity to also learn a language at no extra cost.
